Love is….
Letting my 3-year-old pick the sprinkles off MY cupcake because she things they’re magical.
That was the entry to the Bubblecake contest that won me, and more importantly, my little one a dozen of her favorite cupcakes for Valentine’s Day. I am so excited about this, not only because of the wonderful treat I am in store for, but because thinking about how to finish the sentence for the contest was just fun.
I had a hard time coming up with something because I see examples of love every single day… multiple times a day. Strangely enough, it comes easy when I’m exhausted and hanging on to the rope I’ve been at the end of for weeks, asking myself why? The answers come quickly then.
I decided on the entry I did because I’d originally gone to the website to see if the flavors were listed yet for Valentine’s Day. I was planning on buying one for my daughter, knowing the joy seeing that white box with the pretty pink “sticker” she always wants (after the treat, of course.) What is even nicer as I think about it on this Valentine’s Day, is that these signs of love of around me every day… Valentine’s Day or not.
