I love my dog, Dewey but never knew how much until I went to the Mountain Valley Cluster Dog Show. On the way, I remembered our breeder attended the same show several years back.
I went inside and asked if she was part of this show. She was. I walked back to find one of the groomers handling, Dawn, my little Dewey’s mother. I don’t know what it was about that moment that made me far more emotional than I thought I’d be. Maybe it was when she said she was so glad to know Dewey was in such a good home (I made sure to pull out my wallet and phone to show her all the pictures I had of Dewey with Santa and in the backyard.) I just felt like a very proud mom.
I snapped a photo of Dewey’s mom. I just wish Dewey would understand if I told him.
There are far more reasons to attend the show though. It’s at the Salem Civic Center through Sunday. You may recognize some of these does at Westminster.

The dog show is certainly a wonderful thing to attend for dog lovers.
