If you’ve ever had a random can of beer sitting around in your fridge like I do after my father visits, I’ve found a great use for it—- Beer Can Chicken.
I used a recipe I found on the food network website. Here’s a link to the one I used.
It was delicious: Juicy, moist, flavorful, golden brown and so easy to make. Plus, if you cook your sides on the grill (corn on the cob and asparagus, as I did) clean up is a cinch!!!
I didn’t have any problems getting the bird to sit up on the can of beer, that is until I tried to take it off the grill and knocked it over. Needless to say, what beer was left in the can spilled out into the cavity of the chicken. Oh well… it was still great.
