I’ve learned there is never a good time to lose internet access, especially when you’re on maternity leave!! I am finally back on line after being sans internet for almost two weeks. Thanks Comcast!! I never really felt I was that personally attached (meaning I use it for work of course, but at home, I always thought I could do without)—NOT SO.
Maybe it’s because I’m on leave. Having an infant means all bets are off when it comes to having any sort of schedule of my own choosing. I can’t just hop downstairs to catch the morning or the 6:00 news. It’s pretty much catch TV when baby permits. I relied heavily on my laptop. I often find myself typing with one finger when I have my son in my lap, just to catch up on what’s going on in the world if I’m in my room.
The last two weeks have been rough… very rough. I guess it would have been ok if I were lying on the beach in Bora Bora and couldn’t get on line. But my house is far from the South Pacific!!
