An amazing, inspirational woman

It’s always nice to start your work week on a Tuesday. It’s especially nice this week because I wanted to share with you an incredible woman I had the pleasure and honor of meeting last week. If you attended the Pink Ribbon Gathering at the Hotel Roanoke Friday, you know exactly who I am talking about. Rena Tarbet.

Rena is a breast cancer survivor. To say she is an inspiration is perhaps the biggest understatement of the year. I laughed. I cried. I wanted to hear more from her. I would venture to say she had us all—hundreds of us in the room—at the edge of our seats, absorbing every word she shared. She reminded us that we all have our challenges but despite every one, two, three or 35 we face, the focus is to stay in the race.

If you didn’t get to hear Rena speak, she has a book out. Rena Tarbet also has a blog that is sure to inspire you on a regular basis.
