The Drive:
Team USA hockey has turned out to be the most pleasant surprise of these Olympic games for America, in my humble opinion—although the Team’s overall performance knotched lots of “firsts”!
The hockey tournament field was as tough as any every assembled, with the top nations jam packed with NHL star power. The United States will get the rematch everybody wanted…USA vs Canada..take two.
The Fairway:
The “Your Town” segments in both Clifton Forge and Covington were both enjoyable and we were greeted by friendly, warm people. As on said on the broadcast, the highlands are loaded with pride in their sports teams—and it shows. Nobody fails to tell you..where they are from..and who they root for. It’s a nice—matter of fact thought that makes me feel at home. Covington is very much like my hometown of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania—culturally, geographically….the works.
The Green:
The Hokies have Maryland tomorrow, and if I may be so bold—I think its a must win if they want an NCAA bid WITHOUT making the finals of the ACC tournament. Otherwise..they’ll need to get to the final game to lock up the bid. My humble opinion.
The Jar:
Belarus is an eastern European nation bordered by Russia on the North and East, Ukraine to the South, Poland to the West, and Lithuania and Latvia to the North. They gained independence in 1991 after the fall of the former Soviet Union.
