The Drive:
Most of you understand I graduated from Florida, yet I rarely bring up the Gators on the air unless they are playing in a National title game, or it has some bearing on the local sports scene. The same can be said for the Phillies, Flyers, Sixers..and Eagles. The exception—-The Phillies. Charlie Manuel’s Buena Visa-Virginia roots give me the green light to run those Brother Love Boys any time I choose! You have to love the hot start, winners of seven of their first nine. Very Nice. Go Charlie!
The Fairway:
I don’t know how well they fish in some other countries—I would imagine those folks that fish the sea for a living are pretty handy at it, here or elsewhere. But lake fishing…I would put the bunch out at Smith Mountain Lake against any group in the world. The Bassmasters Elite series is back for the Blue Ridge Brawl and as I write this a South Carolina fisherman weighed in about 23 pounds worth of fish today for the lead. Not bad after the cold weather..etc.
The Green:
The police reports and interviews are coming out about the Steelers quarterback and his encounter with the 20 year old woman in a Milledgeville bar. Her version of events does not sound very flattering. I think horrifying about sums it up. I’m no judge, no jury, but I have a daughter. Let’s hope those statements aren’t accurate. Enough said.
The Jar:
