The J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets.. Nascar scoring and Tiger returns?

  The Drive:
The Jets haven’t been relevant since Namath. At least that’s all I can remember. Yeah, that old guy that tried to kiss Susie Colber on the sidelines once led a football team to a World Championship in the most intense fishbowl in the entire world…New York City. That was Super Bowl III. That’s right, three. The 42 year gap between Super Bowls is one win from ending, and I for one—-am hoping it happens this year. The Steelers are what they are. The Jets are what we wish of an underdog. Brash and unafraid of al lthe big boys. Down goes Peyton Manning. Down goes Tom Brady. Now…Down goes ??? the terrible towel?  No disrespect to Myron Cope, he was the man.

The Fairway:
Ok, can anybody really explain NASCAR scoring as it stands? Five points for leading a lap, five points for leading the most laps…five points for the best paint job, five points for putting a wheel mark on your rivals car..I don’t know. Urban legend has it..according to our NASCAR guro James, that they—Bill France Sr. and his brigade worked it out on a napkin in the 50’s…or something. It probably had coffee stains on it. Is that five points for leading…or is that your second cup mark? Now..they appear to be close to going to 1 point for last, 43 points for first…as in a 43 car field. Makes sense…pass a guy, gain a point. Pass em all..get 43. Even I can figure that much out.

The Green:
Tiger will open his season, and hopefully turn the page on his personal life crisis, at Torrey Pines. A place he seems to ALWAYS win at. Careful, though. He’s already run through a couple of those…and has had no luck. Golf is mental before it is physical. If your head is screwed on straight then you can start to figure out if you’ve got physical issues. Tiger’s mental state should be better, but as I warn people all the time, his deal is not a car wash. He’s not just gonna come out clean on the other side. Even after drying and waxing, this guy could still have issues crop up. It’s the nature of life.

The Jar:
