The Hokies Latest Bowl Projection and can anybody stop the Lancers?

  The Drive:
Well, this is the time of year where the projections fly and the visits to the travel sites intensify. As we speak, the Hokies are projected to Champs Sports Bowl December 29th, Orlando FL, 8 pm, ESPN ACC No. 4 vs. Big Ten No. 4 or 5. Most sites have Virginia Tech vs Northwestern. It still could be Penn State if they lose again, I guess. And the Hokies could still wind up in the Gator Bowl depending on what the rest of the contenders in the conference do. That matchup would likely be Notre Dame!

  The Fairway:
I watched the second half of the Eagles-Cowboys game Sunday night and I was totally disappointed in the use of Michael Vick. C’mon, the guy was gone 18 months, not 18 years. Play him, let him throw the football. He won’t ever be a threat to run if you never let him throw.

  The Green:
I was asked multiple times at the YMCA today if Salem could beat Amherst. Great question!  It’s that age old battle, Amherst speed versus Salem discipline. Don’t get me wrong, Salem’s got athletes too, but nobody I’ve seen can match Amherst man for man. It will take a special effort to beat them, but as we’ve seen, Salem is capable of that special effort.

    The Jar:
Florida vs Texas in the National title title. TCU, and Jay Warren…left on the outside looking in. Cincinnati feeling snubbed. Oh..the drama. Playoff….who needs a playoff?
