The Drive: The Darren Evans injury is almost hard to fathom, having just interviewed the young man on Saturday—he seemed poised to do great things—yet again. He’s a great story of a young man making his way through life and doing everything he can to take care of his family as well. With any luck he’s back up and pulverizing tacklers like that DB from Maryland a year ago…before you know it.
The Fairway: In the meantime, I think Hokies fans are going to be both in shock and awe when they see David Wilson play. This young man…can play with anybody on the planet. If anybody can get him ready to handle the pressures of major college football, it’s Coach Billy Hite. The guy is the Jedi RB master!
The Green: The Mike Vick watch could be coming to a close by the end of the week. Rumor mill has the Steelers and Ravens on the list, with the Patriots and Panthers still possible. My pick? The Ravens.
The Jar: The PGA tees off tomorrow, and I for one..am rooting for Phil. He could stand something positive to happen in what has been a horrific year for him in terms of his families health.
