Redskins Camp, Kenny Lewis Jr, and Tyson Gay

  The Drive:
My thoughts from Redskins Camp. Coach Shanahan is night and day from Zorn. WOW. He’s got a plan, he’s got schemes, he’s putting them in, he’s evaluating talent, and he’s no-nonsense. He’s all business but can still hold court with the press. Love this guy. I’ve always liked the talent, now I think with McNabb and a better O-line, they will be scary. They could stand another reciever, or maybe Devin Thomas can step up, or Roydell Williams, or somebody. I do like them to be .500 or BETTER this year.

  The Fairway:
I’m rooting for Kenny Lewis Jr. in whatever he decides to do in life now. Kenny was derailed by an achilles injury that was slow to respond, but he was the hardest working, most grounded, solid individual I’ve met in some time. The former minor league baseball player should have no trouble succeeding in whatever he wants to do.  Coach Beamer mentioned a career in management, and that his energy will be focused on that now.

  The Green:
Did you see Tyson Gay blow away Usain Bolt in the 100 meters. Seeeeeeee yaaaaaa. Sure makes me look forward to the 2012 London Olympics.
Welcome back, Tyson.

    The Jar:
Tim Tebow tribute shoes sold out on-line in about 5 minutes. Darn it.
