Prep Football, The NFL Preseason, and Serena and the Glass in Munich

  The Drive:
Well..the first of our two 30 minute HS football specials airs tomorrow night at 1030 immediately following the Redskins preseason game. Check it out, as William Fleming’s new digs and new coach are featured along with some great stories—including the two pairs of brothers we have coaching in the area. Lindsey Ward—Where’s Ward? finds herself emersed in the Alleghany-Covington rivalry. And I’ll give you a check of the D-1 prospects in the area for 2011.

  The Fairway:
I’m almost to the point where watching the NFL preseason…is ...not possible. I can’t do it. It’s nearly unwatchable. I know they need games to evaluate the new talent. But I’m not certain all these games need to be televised. I say that..after trying to watch my hometown Eagles against the Bengals. It might just the evening, this matchup, or the fact that I still think the Birds should have kept Donovan. Ok, there. I said it.

  The Green:
Well..it sounds like the start of a Hemingway short story. The foot, cut on a glass…in a Munich restaurant. Serena is out of the US Open..after the foot still hasn’t completely healed after surgery. So much of the Women’s draw…without number one. No real explanation about the glass, the deal..was their a spy and a dash involved? Sorry, I’ve seen the Bourne movies too many times.

The Jar:
“Justice is the firm and continuous desire to render to everyone that which is his due” .....It’s coming. Count on it.
