Denny, Denny…Denny!  and…will we all be able to say..the Butler did it?!

  The Drive:
Denny Hamlin delivered the wildest finish I’ve seen…since Bobby Allison and Cale Yarborough fought in the backstretch at Daytona. There are few…who know how to get around Martinsville better. And pitting with the lead..with under ten to go…restarting 9th?  At Martinsville?—-and winning? Cut it out. Just stop. The four tires certainly got it done..but a couple of the moves he pulled off….Wow. More moves than Dancin’ with the stars! I’ve said before, this guy took me around Martinsville in a pace car, and nearly scared me half to death. It kinda bothered me he was looking at me talking the whole time..and never really looked when he whipped the wheel and skidding through the turns. Anyway, now he’ll go and have knee surgery. He did all that today with a torn ACL.

  The Fairway:
OK—Butler—really?  I would have given Michigan State a better chance…wait…the Spartans again too!?  Sorry, I’ll stop with the sarcastic questions. West Virginia’s win over Kentucky was surprising from a talent standpoint I suppose…but not that big a shocker. Duke…is Duke. They play team ball, especially on the defensive side, and they have some balance. But they are also beatable. But…so is everybody else. First glance, I think I like Butler and Duke…but I might be pulling for West Virginia. We’ll see.

  The Green:
The Hokies open Spring practice with a ton of talent on offense..and a ton of holes on defense. This could be Bud Foster’s finest hour. He’s got work to do, but if anybody can do it…and build another top ten defense…it’s that guy. Looking forward to practice on Wednesday to see the young defensive line talent..and some of the other athletes running around..

The Jar:
I found an ole’ Hokie friend of mine, who I knew—back when I was fresh out of the Gator pond, down in Palm Beach. Kharma. I can feel it smilin!
